Jana Modena was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California moving to Fairfield in 1992.  Upon moving to Fairfield, Jana jumped into community and family activities.

Jana is an experienced manager, event coordinator, fundraiser, and marketing professional.  She spent many years working for an international staffing/cultural exchange program, recruiting and providing students from throughout the world summer jobs. Jana also had her own fundraising/events business for many years, organizing and raising funds for non-profits, small businesses, and elected officials.  Currently, Jana works as the CEO for the Benicia Chamber of Commerce.
 
Jana’s leadership and volunteer enthusiasm has garnered her local recognition and awards from the Napa/Solano Labor Council – Labor Activism Award-2019, Jelly Belly Volunteer of the Year- 2015, Leaven Community Champion – 2015.
