Ongoing Program has Brought More Than $3 Million Back to the Community in Free Tax ReturnsVACAVILLE, CA– Travis Credit Union Foundation announces today the launch of the 2024 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site in Vacaville, CA, an IRS initiative, providing free tax preparation services to eligible low-income individuals and families. Travis Credit Union Foundation's continued participation in VITA underscores their commitment to empowering local communities with the resources they need for financial success. The VITA program, hosted and managed by the Travis Credit Union Foundation, offers free tax preparation services and e-filing. Assistance is available in both English and Spanish and is open to Travis Credit Union members and non-members earning less than $64,000 in annual income, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, and those with limited English capabilities. Taxpayers with rental income (unless active-duty military) or business losses are not eligible.
Appointments are available by reservation only and will run from February 10 to April 10, 2024 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays starting at 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The location is the Travis Credit Union Community Room, 1 Travis Way, Vacaville, CA.
