Eligibility + Disclaimers
- Applicants and nominees must be residents of: Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Merced, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus and Yolo counties.
- Must be able to demonstrate a student loan debt balance of at least $5,000.
- Must be able to document notable contributions to local communities through professional or volunteer activities.
- Applicant must meet all required guidelines. Only one entry per person. Excludes Travis Credit Union employees, and their immediate families.
- Recipients of the Travis Credit Union Foundation Community Heroes Grant/Scholarship will receive a financial award of $5,000. Please be advised that this award may be considered taxable income by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state tax authorities. It is the responsibility of the recipient to determine any tax obligations that may arise from accepting this award. Travis Credit Union Foundation does not provide tax advice, and recipients are encouraged to consult with a qualified tax professional to understand their individual tax responsibilities.
