The Travis Credit Union Foundation will re-open applications for the Community Heroes Program on May 12, 2025.
This initiative provides four individuals with $5,000 to reduce their student loan debt burden, enabling them to achieve greater financial independence and encourage continued service to local communities.

Eligibility + Disclaimers
- Applicants and nominees must be residents of: Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Merced, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus and Yolo counties.
- Must be able to demonstrate a student loan debt balance of at least $5,000.
- Must be able to document notable contributions to local communities through professional or volunteer activities.
- Applicant must meet all required guidelines. Only one entry per person. Excludes Travis Credit Union employees, and their immediate families.
